Life has thrown me a couple of curve balls as of late, but I am back and have found myself living within walking distance of the Walk of Fame. So, what have I been up to besides unpacking and tanning myself on various LA beaches? Well, frequenting Trader Joe’s enough to learn some employee’s names and braving IKEA on more than one Saturday have taken up quite a bit of my time. Incessantly staring at Audrey Hepburn’s star, (hoping maybe it smells like her, or something else creepy) and gawking over glitter-laden streets pretty much fill the rest.
While the actual move from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles went well, and I am definitely adjusting well to the warmer weather, there have been a few speed bumps within the journey. The difference in real life and living in LA LA land is that when life kicks you in the shin in LA, you can just go play scratch and sniff along the Walk of Fame. In general, it mostly smells like urine, but every once in a while you get something more… more like what you think Audrey may have smelled like, and you go about your day feeling much better. So, thank you, star struck tourists, for bringing enough perfume on your vacations to brighten the rough days.
Also within walking distance of my house is this beautiful piece of work, Run Boy, based on one of the scenes from “Iron” by Woodkid. Feast your eyes:
