Well hello Friday Eve!  These picture encompass my feelings EXACTLY.  One more day until we’re all home free!  It’s an easy breezy outfit for the weekend too, right?  Androgyny at it’s finest.  I put the pants and shirt together and normally my feelings would be to go with more feminine, smaller accessories to balance it out.  Think: a smaller understated shoe, skinny rimmed sunglasses, and a dainty clutch.  Instead I went all out with chunky accessories: platform lace ups, thick squared off sunglasses, and a larger leather bucket bag.  I think it all came together quite nicely!

I really like the way the bright red of the top and the maroon of the shoes fit together.  The shoes are awesome on their own, but kind of take the back seat to the red in the top.  I struggled with the bag for a minute, besides just in the should-it-be-chunky or should-it-not-be-chunky way.  I didn’t know what color of leather should be put with the outfit!  I tried black and it seemed too harsh.  Brown just kind of drown itself in the pants, so I tried on this tan and light mint color bucket bag, not expecting to like it… But alas!  We had a winner!  For me the lighter color blocking finished off the outfit rather than competing against it’s elements.

Sometimes it’s good to try things you don’t think will look good.  Some days it just sucks and you move on, other times it gives you an idea for another outfit, and then there is the wonderful occasion of it actually working.   Unexpected pairings are what I live for, how about you?
