Too many shoes? No, that isn’t a thing, BUT trying to store shoes when there are a lot of them can be really difficult. Never fear my friends! I have the solution! I guess I mean that I have a solution for MY shoe problem, and HOPEFULLY it can also be the solution to YOUR shoe problem.
I have tried every rack out there, I swear to you, and none of the racks that are made for shoes have worked for me. Either the shelves are too short for boots or it is a wire rack and the heels just slip right through, or it’s just plain bulky and ugly. I was also having the problem of shoes getting ruined because they were basically throw into a pile. Some of my favorite shoes have been ruined because they became misshapen by another pair sitting right on top of them.
I looked everywhere and it seemed that every option for shoe boxes was REALLY expensive. Seriously, I’m not kidding, SO EXPENSIVE. I love the idea of having little plastic see through tubs for every single pair of shoe I own, but I also like the idea of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so food came first. Then I came across these lovely boxes at IKEA. Oh, IKEA! You crazy stupid place. Fairly easy to put together, very cheap (around $3.00 to $5.00 for two!), and I think if you write on them nicely, they can be left out of the closet. I stack mine against one wall, out of the way and easy to get to. I put a link to them down below, but I think your best bet is to go to the actual store and scope out the situation. Also, make sure your shoes will actually fit in the boxes. I wear a 6.5 to 7, so mine fit nicely in the 8 x 10 x6 option, with the taller boots going in the 10 x 13 x 7 size.
Try it out! Who knows, it might just work for you too!
