Let me tell you a little something about getting dressed, IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE COMFORTABLE.  I don’t mean that you should wear sneakers and sweatshirts every day, I just mean you should be comfortable.  For some that means six inch heels (maybe?), for others it might actually be a sweatshirt and a pair of converse, or it just means being who you are that day and that is what makes you comfortable.  Today what made me comfortable, and therefore happy, was an oversized sweater and killer leather flats.

And now that we are on the subject of flats… I scored these Valas flats at the Traffic LA Warehouse sale a couple of weeks ago.  I was so excited when I learned that they only make limited runs of all of their shoes and bags!  And when I say limited, I mean three of each style in each size of shoe and twenty of each bag.  So chances of you running into someone wearing the same thing are VERY slim, which I am totally into!  Plus the leather on these are so soft and they fit like a glove!  I am seriously just so in love with them.  I feel like it is rare to find shoes that you just immediately love and don’t take any blood, sweat, or tears to break in.  Any way, I love them, so there is that, and here is how this outfit came to be:

It starts with: The sweater, this amazing, oh-so-comfortable sweater.

Next: I have been in more of a muted mood lately, I think just because of the shifting of the seasons, and it totally shows in this outfit.  My normal pairing would have been with something really bright, but these muted jeans and shoes just felt right!

How it ends: The hat, It all seemed like it needed something to “top it off.”  How else do you top something off than with a hat?  It goes on the top for heaven’s sake!  Perfect outfit for walking around on a somewhat chilly LA day!  Add in a long sleeve shirt and maybe some boots to make it work if you live pretty much anywhere else in the entire country (I’m sorry for you all), and have great Thanksgiving break!
