Win-win kind of outfit.

Win-win kind of outfit.

I think it’s safe to say this is some of the most chic pajama dressing there is.  Comfy drop crotch shorts & a cute sweatshirt made perfect by heeled boots!  The sweatshirt of course has elements of it’s own that take it out of lazy day territory, with it’s geometric quilting and rather awesome snake graphic.  And the shorts?  Well… FRINGE.  Pretty sure I have worn this outfit three times in the last week.  Don’t judge me. I’m smack dab in the middle of a love affair with these red vintage boots too, so what better way to take my all black, all-too comfortable outfit to the next level! And the clutch?  The clutch gives the whole outfit a little something extra.  I think a black bag would have been too obvious but the tan one stands out against the outfit, while still being pulled into it with the tans and golden yellows of the snake.  This is what we call a win-win outfit my friends, now go snag this sweatshirt for your own!  Sweatshirt: Norwegian Wood // Shorts: Rachel Comey // Boots: Vintage // Bag: Marie...

Tie a Sweatshirt Around It.

Remember when my hair was gray?  😳  Back to my natural!  Which calls for brightly colored backgrounds filled with palms and orange houses.  How cute is it though?  I would never think to paint my house orange, but for some reason against the green of the plants it looks SO good.  I think so at least, so you get to experience it too!   I’ve been loving this BOY sweatshirt a lot lately.  I bring it everywhere and throw it on, over, or around everthing I am wearing.  I think it perfectly compliments the girly pink dress and ties in the more masculine boots with this outfit.   And now we are to the boots.  These oh so glorious lace up boots!  Thank goodness for zippers on these guys, otherwise I would not have the patience and would never wear them.  I love how many times the laces criss-cross, it just adds a little something to them, but tightening them every time would take an eternity.   AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR ‘DAT.  Dress: Vintage // Sweatshirt: Band of Outsiders // Boots: Steve Madden Photography by Eli...
Forever, No?

Forever, No?

You want to know what is almost as good as new socks?  A fresh new sweatshirt!  When it’s kind of stiff because it’s new, but still comfy as all get-out, it makes me feel as good as wearing a brand new pair of socks.  Okay, ALMOST as good as a new pair of socks, but anything to bring more of that feeling into the world is fine by me! Speaking of socks, I couldn’t help but take a little of the sparkle from the “Forever, no?” down near the feet region with a little silvery scalloped edge sock.  I’m loving that showing your socks like this is a thing again for those over the age of 5, mostly because it makes me feel like I am a kid again.  Now if I could just get my hands on a tiny heeled white sandal and some scrunchies, I’d be set! Seriously though, pulling details from one piece in an outfit through to another is a good way to make an outfit work.  I loved the brown leather skirt, but needed to make the brown flow more in the outfit, which is why I chose shoes with brown in them.  It also helps bring out the brown in the “no?” a bit more so it doesn’t get lost behind the silver and green.  Overall one piece flows into the next and the outfit somehow just works, no?
