Plaid Pencil Skirt + Mules

Plaid Pencil Skirt + Mules

More colors!  I can’t get enough, especially when they are colors weaved into chic patterns.  Plaid skirts are showing up everywhere, a nod to Cher from Clueless with pleats for the most part, but I love the pencil fit of this one.  It is that perfectly placed transition piece, that’s right people, we’re talking fall transition pieces here, with a summer fit but fall colors.  It will seamlessly take me from summer to fall with a sweater right on over my top! These mules will also see me long into fall weather.  Easy to throw on and they look great with skirts, shorts, jeans, and dresses.  You really can’t go wrong with a good pair of heeled mules!  These were a score from Zara, but you can find them just about everywhere right now!  Get some for yourself and try pairing them with a plaid skirt to celebrate the coming of fall and a summery short sleeved button up to remind yourself that what we have now is oh-so-good!  What pieces are going to be your main transition pieces come the chillier weather? I would love to hear about it in the comments! Shirt: Vintage, get the look here or here // Skirt: Vintage, similar here & here // Shoes: Zara, similar here &...
A new take on the classic jean and tee combo.

A new take on the classic jean and tee combo.

I love a good pair of jeans and a tee shirt, if you haven’t noticed based on my Instagram and various posts on the blog.  This is just a little different take on the classic, with a pair of black denims, a light cotton tank (since it has been in the 90s in LA), and some mules.  It is comfortable and still looks like you at least kind of tried to get ready when you woke up.  I love these little black mules and I especially love how comfortable they are.  On top of no fuss shoes, I love a good no fuss bag.  Usually I go for purses that are either more of a backpack or smaller than a wallet, but this one is somewhere in the middle and just right!  It fits all of the necessities with easy access, plus it’s cute!  Can’t beat that if you ask me.
