The shapes do it.

The shapes do it.

Although this outfit is black, navy, and brown, it is the shapes that make it what it is.  Shape play in clothing is one of my favorite things to do.  How does the shape of a shirt change how I feel? How I look?  How I can dance?  Yes, being able to dance is very important in clothing choices on a daily basis.  Anyway, I love these shapes together. The structured look of the Kimem pants with the skirt over paired with the loose fit of the button up navy shirt just makes me feel good.  What’s better than that?  Nothing. Orange Crush Dress

Orange Crush Dress

Well if this isn’t just the best fall transitional outfit I have ever worn!  Very minimal heavy fabric in the crushed velvet dress and then the duster is so light weight but perfectly autumnal toned!  It’s like a summer outfit made for fall, which is perfect for these 90 degree days we are having.  So hot!  How am I supposed to get anything done with weather like this?!?  Well, I have been to the beach a lot in the last few weeks so… maybe I should shut my mouth and quit my complaining.   P.S. How perfect are these patent loafers?  I am so addicted to them right now!  Do you go through phases like that with clothing too? Shorts + Short Sleeve Sweater

Shorts + Short Sleeve Sweater

Blush coloring has been on my mind for a few weeks now, maybe it’s because fall is the buzz word lately, and peach and blush colors always remind me of autumn.  I am in no way shape or form asking for summer to be over, but a change of seasons always means a change in fashion, bringing a nice little wardrobe refresh as your brain shifts with the weather.  This outfit is perfect for fulfilling my fall like moods with the plaid shorts and short sleeve sweater being cool enough to wear in the heat while still giving a taste of fall. I have a thing right now for plaid pants, or shorts… let’s go with bottoms, and I can’t seem to get enough!  Especially when they are wide leg and comfortable.  I want to style them with everything, so you can expect to see more in future posts as I have purchased three pairs in the past two weeks.  Oops.  Hope everyone had a great Labor Day! Summertime Blues

Summertime Blues

So, as far as creativity goes, this outfit wouldn’t win any awards, but when it comes to comfort… it takes the cake.  Jeans that are comfortable are probably my best friend, and like my One Teaspoon shorts, I could probably sleep in these and be just fine.  Some days pajama dressing that doesn’t look like pajama dressing is needed.  When it’s hot out and you just want to be comfortable, while still looking cute and not too exposed, an airy sheer top and comfy bottoms is the way to go. After that, all you have to worry about are the shoes.  I chose a simple pair of menswear loafers, you can’t really go wrong there.  You can throw them on with almost any outfit!  But I chose to throw them on with my pajamas, erm, this outfit.  What’s your favorite pajama dressing outfit?
