When you get it, you got it.

When you get it, you got it.

There is just something about this oversized white button up.  It gets me, you know?  It’s like “Hey, I’m here.  I’ll give you so much room to play.”  While also being like, “You can do this!  You can be an adult that can wear a white shirt all day and not spill anything!  Get it girl.”   And I look in the mirror and I’m just like, “Cool.” The pants have a little of the same magic, don’t you think?  Baggy, but not too baggy.  Cropped, but not capris.  Also, they have a drawstring waistband…. I hope to grow up to have the gumption of this outfit one day.   Shirt: Millimétré // Jeans: Vintage // Boots: Helmut Lang // Bag: Hare & Hart // Hat:...

High neck tanks and zippered ankles.

Can you tell fall is on my mind?  I have no idea why because summer is my favorite, especially since I have access to several different beaches.  Maybe it’s the colors I am craving?  Or maybe it’s just because it has been so ungodly humid the last few weeks.  What can you do in the humidity?  Nothing but sweat.  Not that we don’t all need a good sweat, but it is preferable to have that sweat come from exercise, not from simply sitting at a desk.   How did we get into sweat? This is a fashion publication people, we talk about fashion!  More we talk about my feelings towards the outfit I am wearing.  We being you and me, although these seem to be a mostly one sided conversations.  Where you at, huh?!?   Stop distracting me would you?  This outfit, it’s what I’m about right now.  It’s the best mix of fall and summer.  Loose, light denim and a tank with a turtle neck?  Best of both worlds I think.  I’m normally not a fan of acid wash or even plain old washed out, light denim, but these spoke to me.  I’m guessing it’s the slight drop crotch and ankle zippers that got me.  For some reason I was just really feeling them and thought they looked extra special with this spotted top.  Which, I’m not going to lie, was a total accident that I put this top and pants together.  I was trying the top on and then moved on to trying on the pants, et voilà!  The shoes weren’t as obvious as I looked at...

High Waisted + Cabin 14

I’ve been super inspired by 70s styling lately.  I normally don’t like to go full on retro with  my outfits, but this one just felt so right all together.  Don’t you think?  This tee makes me feel like summer is here and I seriously can’t wait to wear it with some high waisted shorts.  Nothing says summer more to me than tee shirts and cut offs, it’s summer’s uniform!  But until summer days actually hit I’m digging theses jeans and a pair of clog boots to top it off.   I think the trick to pulling off outfits like this is attitude.  All the time I hear people saying ” I could never pull that off!”  As Henry Ford oh so wisely said, “Whether you think you can or you think can’t, you’re right.”  If it makes you feel good, do it!  On this day, this outfit made me feel good, so I went with it.  I’m not saying that I never think back on outfits and wonder how it possibly could have made me feel good, but you only live once, so have fun!  No outfit regrets over here! Blue and green and white all over.

Blue and green and white all over.

So what do you think of the new hair?  I’m into it.  The plan from the beginning wasn’t to go silvery-white, but as soon as I saw how light Chloe (my magical hair stylist), got my hair, I was like well… Let’s try!  And here we are!  I think it looks killer with this dress too, the colors all just make me so happy which is why I chose this outfit for the debut style post of my new locks.   Now, on to the outfit!  This vintage dress has been begging to be worn since the second I got it.  Here I went with the sheer over jeans thing, but I’m excited to also style it as a dress.  Any piece that you can wear more than one way is a piece worth having, if you ask me.  You didn’t ask me, but I’m telling you any way.  This is something I think about every time I pick out my clothing, especially since I am constantly shooting my outfits.  An article of clothing that can get me more than one type of outfit definitely wins every time.  It’s all about maximizing your wardrobe and sheer pieces are a great way to do just that!  Do you have pieces like this?  What pieces do you end up getting the most out of in your closet? Dress: Fiery Finish Vintage (One of the best vintage collections I have seen with some of the best pricing, SERIOUSLY.) // Jeans: H&M // Shoes: Urban Outfitters // Bag: Wessley NYC  Hair: If you live in Los Angeles or Orange County and you dig cool hair,...
Jeans + Button Up + Boots

Jeans + Button Up + Boots

A simple button up and ripped jeans are the perfect accomplices for these vintage Armani boots.  They were such a lucky find and I am so in love with them!  Button ups are definitely a Sunday go-to for me because they are comfortable, light weight (it’s sooo hot in LA right now), and pair perfectly with anything you want to put on bottom.  The funkier the pattern, the better!  The blues on this one add the perfect splash of color to the outfit.  Hope you are having a crazy good weekend!
