High neck tanks and zippered ankles.

High neck tanks and zippered ankles.

Can you tell fall is on my mind?  I have no idea why because summer is my favorite, especially since I have access to several different beaches.  Maybe it’s the colors I am craving?  Or maybe it’s just because it has been so ungodly humid the last few weeks.  What can you do in the humidity?  Nothing but sweat.  Not that we don’t all need a good sweat, but it is preferable to have that sweat come from exercise, not from simply sitting at a desk.   How did we get into sweat? This is a fashion publication people, we talk about fashion!  More we talk about my feelings towards the outfit I am wearing.  We being you and me, although these seem to be a mostly one sided conversations.  Where you at, huh?!?   Stop distracting me would you?  This outfit, it’s what I’m about right now.  It’s the best mix of fall and summer.  Loose, light denim and a tank with a turtle neck?  Best of both worlds I think.  I’m normally not a fan of acid wash or even plain old washed out, light denim, but these spoke to me.  I’m guessing it’s the slight drop crotch and ankle zippers that got me.  For some reason I was just really feeling them and thought they looked extra special with this spotted top.  Which, I’m not going to lie, was a total accident that I put this top and pants together.  I was trying the top on and then moved on to trying on the pants, et voilà!  The shoes weren’t as obvious as I looked at...
Slouchy Pants + Boxy Top

Slouchy Pants + Boxy Top

This outfit is so funny to me, I honestly hated it when I first put it on.  I think it was something with the colors, but the shapes… The shapes are what made me leave it on (sans my boyfriends approval).  The colors grew on me after a minute! Or maybe I just excused it because I loved the slouchy drop crotch pants with the boxiness of the top.  Either way, now that I look at it I’m not sure why I didn’t like the colors together, specifically the blue in the shirt and the green khaki of the pants.  It is different, and not something I would normally put together, but that’s what getting dressed is all about right?  Trying new things!  Well, that’s what it should be about any way.   I think the black sandals and bag definitely help pull the look together.  I felt like the shoes had to be a little funkier to match the top, and the boxy clutch pulled the black leather up to the top section of the outfit.  In the end I am happy with it.   What do you think, would you wear it?  Have you had outfits that you initially don’t like but after giving it a minute you grow to love it? Or am I just crazy? Either way, C-O-O-L.  And happy Monday everyone!  Top: Fiery Finish Vintage // Pants: Zara // Shoes: Zara // Bag: Vere Verto Photography by Eli...
