And a Happy New Year!

And a Happy New Year!

So I feel like New Year’s outfits are based on three things: 1. How uncomfortable is it? 2. How annoyingly sparkly and bright is it? 3. How short is it? You feel me?  Yea, well I’m not into it either.  Don’t worry, I have your back here.  I put together three outfits that will BLOW YOUR MIND to ring in the new year!  The whole thing came to fruition through one killer pair of shoes, the Colette by Valas.  Those shoes, my friends, are none other than the perfect solution to the question of what to wear that fateful night!  Doesn’t it always seem that heels are what you have to go with?  The higher and, as point number one states, the more uncomfortable the better!  Right?!?  Wrong, you are so wrong. Well, what makes these shoes so perfect any way?  Well, the ruling reason is that they aren’t heels.  I’m not really into that so much when it comes to a night that is most likely going to be filled with walking around, what with the crazy parking situations (OY VEY!), party hopping, and all of the other shenanigans we all seem to find ourselves involved in before midnight.  No, I wasn’t going to have any of that this year, this year I wanted to do all of the aforementioned things sans blistered feet, while still looking the part! So here we are, to this post, where I put together three outfits that are sure to fit anyones craving for something a little different and A LOT better come the 5-4-3-2-1! To start off, I wanted something that...
Shiny + Jumpsuit

Shiny + Jumpsuit

Monday blues!  But not the sad kind, the really, really, REALLY happy to have this killer vintage jumpsuit kind.  Also really happy to pair it with a killer Wessley NYC bucket bag and some shiny shoes!  With a monday like that, how could you be upset?  Jumpsuits are such an easy wardrobe options, even easier than a matching set, since there is only one thing to put on.  Maybe it’s lazy, maybe it’s not, but I know for sure this is what they call love.  Happy Monday!    ...
Leather shorts and shiny brogues.

Leather shorts and shiny brogues.

Alright, so back into the writing groove here… These shorts are pretty much to die for!  I have always been a little sketch about leather bottoms in general, as they seem mostly uncomfortable, but when I found these suede high waisted beauties I couldn’t help but want to try them on.  So I did.  And guess what?  I loved them.  They are perfectly seventies and brought into the now with some shiny brogues and, although they are still in the seventies spirit, round sunnies that are just a little oversized.  It has been actually hot here in Los Angeles, so a light tank and shorts are plenty of clothing, probably even enough to share, but I won’t subject you to that. On top of killer leather shorts, the graffiti in the background is pretty killer in these shots.  Beautiful blues and purples and kinda creepy monster eyes that watch your every move made for a perfect background to an earth toned outfit.  I love finding and shooting in front of graffiti walls, it adds some excitement to the pictures, because you know, I bet I am not enough to keep you entertained. Tank: Bandit Brand // Shorts: Urban Outfitters (they are on sale even!) // Shoes: 14th and Union // Sunglasses: F21...
