T-shirt dresses are nothing but trouble.

T-shirt dresses are nothing but trouble.

A basic t-shirt dress is nothing but trouble.  Trouble, trouble, trouble.  Wanna know why?  Because once you find the perfect one, one that just feels good when you put it on, in all of it’s t-shirt-y glory, you never want to take it off.  You wake up in the morning, you put on the dress.  You go to bed and take it off just to sleep a few hours and start the whole process over again.  What a pain those t-shirt dresses are!  Taking up all of that valuable wardrobe time!  Well listen up little missy, I’m not taking it anymore!  No more of your “Oh, look how soft and swooshy and comfortable I am!”  No.  I won’t stand for it.  Get a job t-shirt dress!  GET A JOB.  Well, okay.  Maybe not until tomorrow, because today I am wearing you.  Okay well maybe the next day.  FINE!  Just stay home, be lazy, and best of all, BE MINE.   Thanks, bye.  Dress: BagLady Basics Drop Waist Tee Dress // Bag: Brandon Blackwood NYC // Shoes: Glitter Sneakers (On SALE! The long and short of it.

The long and short of it.

For most of the country I think shorts aren’t in your thought process in February, but you can definitely make them work!  I mean, try shorts that are longer, don’t freeze your cute buns off! Try some that go at least to your knees, and pile on a massive, oversized, you-look-like-a-marshmallow sweater.  Pair it all with a killer pair of boots and there you have it!  Shorts can be a good way to break up your wardrobe during the winter, as long as they aren’t shorts of the bootie variety.  These shorts are the perfect length to let some air in, but still cover some skin. Another reason to love these shorts?  The patches.  Easily done yourself I think!  Try cutting off a pair of boyfriend fit jeans or go with the camo print like these, and sew on some random fabric.  It doesn’t even have to be straight, done and done!  Luckily, wearing shorts just really isn’t an issue here, so… I’m pairing them with some short booties and an airy button up.  Kinda makes you want to visit Los Angeles right about now, doesn’t it?  You can, I’ll let you. P.S. Totally loving this round Valas bag, this shape is to die for!  A good way to switch it up a bit!
