As we all know, oh so well as they have been quite the trend for the last couple of years, overalls can be very hard to pull of in an adult manner.  Even more so when they are the short version of the half bib, half bottom wardrobe conundrum we, for some reason, call fashionable.  Don’t get me wrong, I love them!  In every shape and size, as shown here, here, and here.  BUT, you definitely have to be careful about what you style around these guys.  I decided to pull mine into adulthood through a couple of more “grown-up” pieces, aka with killer shoes and a clutch.  I also thought showing a little skin up top with a crop top underneath them would help my case.  This kind of outfit is perfect for a date on summer nights or for lunch on the weekends.  Comfortable, chic, and undeniably cute, but not TOO cute.

I also have some pant overalls that I haven’t worn for quite a while that I need to pull out and make grow up as well.  I’ll keep you posted, I’m sure. :)  For more ways to force your “shortalls” into adulthood, check out Shortalls All Grown Up.
