Let’s talk, just for a minute, about man repelling. It’s the glorious idea of dressing in such a way that repels the opposite sex, brought to us by none other than the OG man repeller, Leandra Medine. Full length jumpsuits are listed by name as one of the items that are straight up man repelling. Do I care? Not one bit. Will I wear them anyway? Of course! Now, some of you may say that this is because I already have a boyfriend that will love me even if I choose to jaunt around town in a potato sack, BUT this isn’t true. Well, it is true that he would love me in a potato sack, but it isn’t true that this is the only reason I allow myself to dress this way. The number one reason I wear things like the very unflattering and completely matronly jumpsuit shown above is because I feel good in it. Read: GOOD. I did not say skinny, sexy, or any such thing. I said good. I feel so good in jump suits! You don’t have to worry about things falling down when bending over or things coming up when arms are reaching above the head. No, I am covered. From head to toe I’m covered and I can go about my merry way sans any unwanted skin showing.
Not only does this jumpsuit have me all covered up, but the fit of it is such that I look about three sizes wider than I actually am. As a clothing item that seems to want to hold it’s shape no matter what is done to it, it just hangs on me (all wide and awesome), waiting to give me room for whatever I may want to do next. I have told you guys millions of times by now how much I like clothing that allows you to do what you want in it. There is a specific way of finding out if clothing will allow just that, that I do when trying things on. How about a video on that? The anatomy of a jumpsuit? How to pick one out so that you can achieve world domination? Yes, I think this week just became all about the jumpsuit. Plus, you can apply the ideas to anything you are trying on. You will see!
On top of just feeling good in jumpsuits, I also like to add something cute into the mix as to not repel the opposite sex, the same sex, and probably myself, in one fell swoop. This is where your shoes and accessories shine through! I added in these cute little leopard print flats to add a pop of excitement to the otherwise all black look, while still keeping with the comfort and mobility the rest of the ensemble affords. Then a choker that keeps with the minimalist look and a bag to tie it all together. And there we have it! An outfit to feel good in!
Now I better run, I’ve got a killer video to make! Stay tuned!
