Along with the whole Birkenstock craze, that seemingly isn’t going anywhere fast, the Adidas shower slides have popped their heads into the fashion game every now and then in the past year or so.  I’m not mad, are you?  Anything that is comfortable and easy is welcome in my book.  I love the way they take an outfit that is going in one direction into a completely unexpected one, one with an almost high fashion sporty look.  Much in the same way that bright sneakers made their way into high fashion, these slides add some excitement and ease to any outfit.

I paired some lightweight pleated chambray pants (another version of mom pants, which we all know I love), with a light weight tank and an almost lingerie-esque mesh top to contrast the more masculine side of the outfit.  This is the key to adding in things such as sporty shower slides, you have to have an outfit that speaks for something more chic, and then throw the world a curve ball.  Unexpected parings are my forte, and I love sharing them with you and giving you inspiration to make your own.  What are your favorite unexpected pairings?  I would love to hear in the comment section below!

Sandals: Adidas Duramo Slides // Pants: American Apparel, similar here & here // Tank: H&M, similar herehere // Top: Vintage, could be mimicked with this or this.
