When Autumn is 85+ Degrees.

When Autumn is 85+ Degrees.

Holy moly, I am so ready for fall.  SO READY.  I love LA, but gimme a chill! Gimme some sweaters! Gimme some freakin’ fall!   I feel like I have a whole wardrobe waiting to be explored full of fuzzy things and layers, but for now I will just have to settle with some autumnal tones.   These boots, in particular, always show their face when I’m in the mood for fall.  I can’t help it!  They are so golden-y yellow and awesome, they scream FALL.  Don’t get me wrong, I totally break them out sometimes in the summer, when I need a little pick me up, but they are definitely made for some leaf stomping, chill in the air, sweater wearing weather.   To further the fall-y-ness of my outfit, I stuck with earthy tones in light weight fabrics.  Simple little army green dress and a little orange popping out on my sleeves.  There you have it!  Fall summed up in one little outfit made for summer! P.S.  I’m totally digging my hair here because I started using like a million volumizing products from Evo Hair.  And by a million I mean volumizing shampoo & conditioner, and this insanely awesome powder.  Check it out, seriously, it’s a life changer.     Top: Camp Collection // Dress: Vintage // Boots: Docs (Here is the closest color on their site, but you might be able to find some of the same more golden color if you use the googs) // Hair product: Evo Hair Photography by...
Doing my hair in NYC.

Doing my hair in NYC.

Sorry, not sorry for the overload of hair whipping pictures, but FINALLY!  We’re to the hair!  It feels like I have been waiting to share this forever!  If you follow me on Instagram, or even better, on Snapchat, you have seen bits and pieces of this already.  While in New York I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by THE hair color master, Carlina Ortega at Rita Hazan Salon.  Although I was only in New York for a short week, she was able to squeeze me in and give me the rainbow-unicorn-princess hair of my dreams!  And yes, it’s totally worthy of the title I just gave it because LOOK AT IT!   Carlina used a mint green, bubblegum pink, royal blue, and a bright yellow to add some fun into my soccer-mom-haircut, plain brown hair.  She also did an allover brown to give my hair a little boost of shine.  Et voilá!  Rainbow-unicorn-princess hair!  I literally can’t help but move and shake my head whenever I look in the mirror, or when I walk by a window… or when I look into my phone camera just to see my pretty hair… Don’t tell anyone about that last one.  You would do it too, I promise you.   If you live in New York or just happen to be visiting, I very highly suggest going to see her.  That is, I highly suggest you go see her if you want to be stuck looking in a mirror because you love your hair so much.   Seriously though…  P.S. Did you happen to notice that I am wearing...
Blue and green and white all over.

Blue and green and white all over.

So what do you think of the new hair?  I’m into it.  The plan from the beginning wasn’t to go silvery-white, but as soon as I saw how light Chloe (my magical hair stylist), got my hair, I was like well… Let’s try!  And here we are!  I think it looks killer with this dress too, the colors all just make me so happy which is why I chose this outfit for the debut style post of my new locks.   Now, on to the outfit!  This vintage dress has been begging to be worn since the second I got it.  Here I went with the sheer over jeans thing, but I’m excited to also style it as a dress.  Any piece that you can wear more than one way is a piece worth having, if you ask me.  You didn’t ask me, but I’m telling you any way.  This is something I think about every time I pick out my clothing, especially since I am constantly shooting my outfits.  An article of clothing that can get me more than one type of outfit definitely wins every time.  It’s all about maximizing your wardrobe and sheer pieces are a great way to do just that!  Do you have pieces like this?  What pieces do you end up getting the most out of in your closet? Dress: Fiery Finish Vintage (One of the best vintage collections I have seen with some of the best pricing, SERIOUSLY.) // Jeans: H&M // Shoes: Urban Outfitters // Bag: Wessley NYC  Hair: If you live in Los Angeles or Orange County and you dig cool hair,...

I’m just SO excited!

I’m just SO excited!

YOU GUYS! I am so excited to show you my hair!  I had my natural color for almost an entire year (that is definitely a record for me), so I was ready for a BIG change.  In comes my new favorite person in the entire world, Chloe!  She came to my house (huge bonus because I loath driving), brought everything she needed, and got to work making a colorful, happy masterpiece of my hair!  I literally can’t tell you guys how excited I am about it!  Maybe you can sense it because every sentence ends in an exclamation point?  Anyway, not only did she give me the cutest multi-colored head of hair, but she is FREAKIN’ adorable!  (Go check her out on Instagram, @sushimonstuh, you will see what I mean.)  Plus, now that my hair is this light, I can pretty much try out any color!  What’s next?  I dunno, but the door just swung wide open! Alright, want to talk about the clothes a little?  These shorts, which are normcore as all get-out, are popping up all over my wardrobe lately.  Case in point, the pair in When It’s Right.  The thing that is cool about this kind of piece is that it stands back to let other aspects of your outfit shine through, while still being comfortable and chic, in that late 30’s, dorky-mom-tourist kind of way.  You know?  Yea, you know.  The black pair above served as the perfect accompaniment to my Vere Verto Mox bag as a hip pack.  I’m like the coolest fanny pack and mom shorts wearing chick around, no?  What with my...
