So the 4th of July is on our door step and what to wear is always a huge question. Will you see family? Friends? An ex boyfriend? Uh oh. Don’t worry! I’ve got you covered with three outfits that are red, white, and blue ready without being over the top or cheesy. They are also pretty easy to recreate with things from your own closet, a quick shopping trip, or in your boyfriends closet. And don’t forget to check out the midweek playlist at the bottom to get your dance on before the holiday weekend even starts!
Red: This outfit is soooooo easy to put together, mostly everyone has a flannel shirt somewhere in the house as well as some Levi cut offs. Throw on a red top and red or white shoes, and you are holiday ready! The reds don’t have to match, I actually prefer that they don’t, so grab whatever you have and get outside!

White: I am normally against white, even though I have been sporting it lately (like in What to do with a Shirt Dress), especially in pants form. I feel like it is hard to make them not look cheesy or something? But, for some reason these ones passed for me, maybe because of the blue patches, or maybe because of the holiday, but either way I’ve got them on and I am loving it. All white is so easy to accomplish, white pants and a white tee! Again, no need to have them exactly the same shade of white, ivory and white are killer together! Throw on something to bring it into the now, i.e. some Adidas shower slides, and head to your BBQ! Just stay away from the mustard. Or don’t, as a mustard stain on the front of your shirt only shows that you had fun.
Blue: This one is the easiest outfit, no fuss shirt dresses are building up in my wardrobe! Loose and light weight, thrown on with a pair of chucks in red, white, or blue (or black, whatever is around). You could even try throwing on your boyfriend’s/dad’s/brother’s dress shirt and belt it up! Holidays should be all about having fun and this allows lots of it. Now go listen to the playlist and have a fun (and of course safe) 4th of July!
