The biggest step to no makeup.

The biggest step to no makeup.

I have only talked about my skincare a couple of times on the blog and on Instagram, which is really silly.  Why?  Because people ask me about it and comment on it all the time.  First and foremost in skincare, WASH YO FACE.  I can’t stress enough how vital just washing my face twice a day is to my life.  That may or may not be an exaggeration because I am sure life would go on if I did not wash my face… But when you are taking pictures all the time and have to be ready at a moments notice to jump in front of the camera, not having good skin can really suck.  Who has time for makeup?  Not me.  Nor do I have the patience to do it every day or the will power not to rub my face on myself/my friends/anything in my way.  I don’t go around rubbing my face on things, but somehow when I wear any kind of makeup, even just mascara, it will end up on everyone/thing around me.  It’s a personal problem, I know. Any way… as much as washing my face is vital, there is another step I take that isn’t so much an every day kind of thing, but something I do a few times a year to overall better the condition of my skin.  Want to know what it is?  I’ll tell you!  Chemical Peels!  I know it sounds like a major procedure, and maybe even a little painful, but guess what?!? It isn’t!  Okay, maybe a chemical peel hurts a little, and I seriously mean A LITTLE,...
Too many shoes.

Too many shoes.

Too many shoes?  No, that isn’t a thing, BUT trying to store shoes when there are a lot of them can be really difficult.  Never fear my friends! I have the solution!  I guess I mean that I have a solution for MY shoe problem, and HOPEFULLY it can also be the solution to YOUR shoe problem. I have tried every rack out there, I swear to you, and none of the racks that are made for shoes have worked for me.  Either the shelves are too short for boots or it is a wire rack and the heels just slip right through, or it’s just plain bulky and ugly.  I was also having the problem of shoes getting ruined because they were basically throw into a pile.  Some of my favorite shoes have been ruined because they became misshapen by another pair sitting right on top of them. I looked everywhere and it seemed that every option for shoe boxes was REALLY expensive.  Seriously, I’m not kidding, SO EXPENSIVE.  I love the idea of having little plastic see through tubs for every single pair of shoe I own, but I also like the idea of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so food came first.  Then I came across these lovely boxes at IKEA.  Oh, IKEA!  You crazy stupid place.  Fairly easy to put together, very cheap (around $3.00 to $5.00 for two!), and I think if you write on them nicely, they can be left out of the closet.  I stack mine against one wall, out of the way and easy to get to.  I put a link to them...
What color is that?

What color is that?

Red.  It’s red.  Is this my Valentine’s outfit?  It could be, but really I just wanted to wear it.  I chose the top and pants and then it just seemed natural to add in the red shoes.  Every other pair of shoes just looked like it wasn’t… RED enough.  I loved the different tones all put together in one outfit.  Sometimes it is hard to pull outfits like this off, if the pieces are too close in color it can look like one of the items has just faded.  You have to find the right mix of different tones of the same color.  GOOD LUCK. High waisted vintage wool slacks are probably one of the easiest things to come across.  Seriously though, go down to any thrift store and there are sure to be an abundance of them in all different colors, patterns, and sizes.  I prefer them to be slightly cropped, so either I roll them or have them hemmed a bit.  So easy to find, so easy to wear, and since they come in every single color out there, you could pretty much wear different ones every day!  Just what you always wanted right?  High waisted granny pants for you!  And you!  And YOU! Let me count the ways.

Let me count the ways.

Can I tell you how in love I am with this outfit?  Effortless and still stylish, I love pairing something super casual, like a muscle tank, with something not so casual, like this silk dress.  It pulls the dress, which can be dressed up and worn with heels for a night out, into such a wearable, comfortable place for the every day run around.  Versatility is key with anything you add to your wardrobe, which brings me right to my bag. This bag is the Mox by Vere Verto and I can’t tell you how excited I am about it.  Not only can you wear it like I am above, but you can also sport it cross-body style, OR if you are feeling extra fancy, take the strap off altogether and you have a clutch!  Three ways to wear one bag?  Uhhhmmm HELLO!  Does it get any better than that?  I’m here to testify to you today that it does not.  With such a killer oversized leather envelope at my side, well, I can conquer the world!  At least the fashion world… or maybe even just whatever today will throw at me… either way I am S-A-T-I-S-F-I-E-D. I’m not going to lie, I have already rocked the Mox in all three of it’s functional ways since they sent it over last week, so be prepared, lots more of this beauty to come!  Do you have pieces like the dress or bag that are versatile enough to make work for anything?  Let me know, because come on, I totally need more clothes.   Bag: Vere Verto Mox  // Dress: Kimem...
