One last thing…

One last thing…

One last look before we all ring in 2015!  I wore this dress to a Christmas party, but it’s perfect for pretty much anything.  I could see wearing it with a pair of converse and a leather jacket for a day around town, or with some heels for dinner, or like you see above, with some platforms for the every day runaround.  Dresses are just as easy as jumpsuits, they are the one and done kinda outfits and when paired with comfortable shoes you can’t really go wrong.  Plus, can you complain about a dress with so much movement?  I love dresses that swoosh and move when I move!  It makes me feel like a kid or a princess, either of which I am happy with. Hope you all had a great year this year, see you in the next one! Dress: DailyLook // Necklace: JewelMint // Shoes: Zara // Sunglasses: Forever21 Photography by Randy...
And a Happy New Year!

And a Happy New Year!

So I feel like New Year’s outfits are based on three things: 1. How uncomfortable is it? 2. How annoyingly sparkly and bright is it? 3. How short is it? You feel me?  Yea, well I’m not into it either.  Don’t worry, I have your back here.  I put together three outfits that will BLOW YOUR MIND to ring in the new year!  The whole thing came to fruition through one killer pair of shoes, the Colette by Valas.  Those shoes, my friends, are none other than the perfect solution to the question of what to wear that fateful night!  Doesn’t it always seem that heels are what you have to go with?  The higher and, as point number one states, the more uncomfortable the better!  Right?!?  Wrong, you are so wrong. Well, what makes these shoes so perfect any way?  Well, the ruling reason is that they aren’t heels.  I’m not really into that so much when it comes to a night that is most likely going to be filled with walking around, what with the crazy parking situations (OY VEY!), party hopping, and all of the other shenanigans we all seem to find ourselves involved in before midnight.  No, I wasn’t going to have any of that this year, this year I wanted to do all of the aforementioned things sans blistered feet, while still looking the part! So here we are, to this post, where I put together three outfits that are sure to fit anyones craving for something a little different and A LOT better come the 5-4-3-2-1! To start off, I wanted something that...
Walking tents.

Walking tents.

Let me tell you a little something about this shirt, okay?  It can function as SO MANY different things.  I mean, it’s a shirt first and foremost.  Second, but definitely not any less important, it can totally be a tent.  Or like some kind of leg hiding device.  PLUS, it is like a poncho.  Granted it is not a good poncho because it’s white, unless you are into the wet t-shirt contest thing, and in that case you are on the wrong website. Uhhhmmm… any way, it’s huge, you can pretend you are chic while you wear it, and it’s from The Dreslyn.  Have you guys checked them out yet?  Would you like to know why I love them so much? I mean besides the fact that they carry the shirt I am wearing above and my all time favorite boots?  It’s because of their philosophy.  Do you guys read the about pages of the places you shop?  Well I don’t either, but somehow I stumbled upon theirs and I knew it was a match made in heaven.  Go read it, and you will also get the urge to buy a new wardrobe from them.  That I can promise you!  Seriously though, they have so many good pieces that are totally right in style, without being too over the top trendy to only wear for one season.  Now that is something we all want to put our money towards.  So go visit them and tell them Asher sent you.  I mean, they won’t give you anything for telling them that, but it makes me look cool. Lessons in leather.

Lessons in leather.

So this post is all about the leather, or more specifically, mixing of leather colors.  Do you remember being in junior high and being so mad when you would see someone wearing black shoes and a brown belt?  No?  That was just me?  Huh.  Well, my little junior high mind would be so upset.  PUT ON A BLACK BELT WITH THOSE SHOES!  Then I grew up, and first and foremost realized I don’t care what other people wear, and second, that mixing leathers can be a GOOD thing.  (Don’t tell my 14 year old self, she would throw a fit.) So let’s start from the beginning, maybe not back to 8th grade, but from when I first laid my eyes on this bag from ISLY Handbags.  I don’t have anything like it!  Have you ever seen me wear a tan handbag?  For some reason I didn’t have one in my arsenal, and when I saw this one I knew it had to be mine.  Is there a more perfect way to bring a little tan into my wardrobe than with a perfectly made (in Los Angeles, mind you!) tote with cream water snake detailing?  So as soon as I got it, I of course started trying things on with it.  Imagine my shock when I realized I didn’t have shoes in the same color, or even the same color family, as the bag!  Well, I could go with white, but it felt a bit too expected and we all know that is NOT what I am about.  So now what? As I found the perfect outfit to go with...
