With a slight nod to the 90’s and this post, I give you:  Sweet Docs and a flannel tied smack dab around my middle section.  The perfect transition outfit!  A dress light enough for summer-like days and something warm to throw on for cooler fall nights. In exploring my neighborhood, I came upon this cute little fence and door down the street.  One of the things I love about the area I live in is that every house presents something different.  There isn’t any of that great American suburbia around these parts!  Even though I dropped down in the center of all that America stands for, this neighborhood doesn’t exemplify it at all, in the best of ways.  Although this specific fence and door combo keeps you from seeing the home behind it, it gives something to the imagination.  What color is the house behind?  Who lives there?  Do they mow their lawn on a regular basis?  The world may never know. Although fall is upon us, the weather in LA has been nothing but summer.  Visiting the beach every weekend is getting real old, let me tell ya. (Cough cough, sarcasm, cough.)  This vintage set was perfect for the tiny bit of morning chill on Saturday near Santa Monica Pier before the heat started.  Plus, it matches.  PLUS, it is so comfortable.  Zippered back slit skirt with a slouchy top?  Hello perfect!  This is just another matching set I have in my fall wardrobe arsenal.  Can’t wait to wear the rest, if fall ever comes.  I won’t be mad if it doesn’t though.
